Hello Friends,
I was hoping we’d have a little more activity this morning, but it seems the models were pretty much right on. Dee Why is just barely above flat this morning. You couldn’t surf the point as of 0800 and what waves there were up the beach look to be maybe ankle to knee high.
According to the MHL buoy data at 0500, Sydney was seeing a touch under a metre of 9-sec east bump. At 0800 we had a light NNW breeze which was just ruffling the surface. It should swing around to the NE as the day warms up and by this afternoon should be pushing along at a summer strength 15-25 kts.
Tide will be low at 0945 and then will be back to a 1.2 m high at 1530.
The mighty Goat should be along with his usual outlook on the surf prospects later today. I’ll be keen to see how he reads the guts on next week as I’m kind of hopeful for a little bump on Sunday and wondering if 7 days from now could be the dawn of a solid swell event…
Have a great Thursday everyone!
Weather Situation
