South magnets only and don’t expect much

Mournful Monday morning at Dee Why.

Hello Friends,

The weekend swell has faded away to almost nothing. Surface conditions are choppy looking as of 0730 and waves look to be in the ankle to knee high range at Dee Why beach (the point’s offline for now).

The MHL 0500 data was showing 1.8 m from the SSE but with a fluffy and gutless 7-second period. Tide was low at 0410 and is now filling into a high-ish 1.7 m high at 1025. Beachwatch says all Sydney beaches have good water condition and that ocean temp is 25°. It should be sunny later and get to a high of 30°.

From tomorrow we swing back to southerly wind and rainy skies. Swell energy will ramp up but I reckon were not looking at reasonable conditions until maybe Saturday (water quality could be questionable though).

Have yourself a great Monday and get up to some good where you can!
