Hello Friends,

Swell is out of the east at 10 seconds with a height at sea of 2 metres, wind was light early but going NE later. Going for a high of 27 ° and ocean is  24°. Tide is dropping to low at 0840 then flooding back into the high at 1445 – by which time the wind should be up to full strength.

Looked very busy early, which isn’t too surprising given the last few days of anti-surfing conditions. Oh and the weekend too.

Exposed spots were delivering set wave faces into the head plus range, but mostly it was chest to shoulder-ish on sets and puny between.

Swell is on the fade, but if the modelling is right we should have something for the early tomorrow (assuming the north wind doesn’t get started before dawn) and then we’re into marginal but not flat territory across the front half of the week. From late Weds onward, it currently looks as though the energy levels could come back up into the waist to shoulder range, depending on when and where etc.

Have a top old Saturday!

Weather Situation

A strong high pressure system to the south of the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge northwards, while a low pressure trough lies off the New South Wales central and north coasts. This trough is expected to weaken today as the high moves further east with east to northeasterly winds freshening along the New South Wales coast. Northerly winds will strengthen on Sunday ahead of the passage of a frontal system about southern and central parts of the coast on Monday.
