Sunday morning some waves to be had

Hello Friends,
Light offshore breeze and smoky and hazy conditions as Sunday rolled into view. Swell has dropped noticeably overnight and as of 0600 the MHL buoy was showing 1.6 m of 12 sec energy from the SE (141°). So, more surf options than yesterday in terms of swell direction, but down by a metre over 24 hours ago.
As the hazy pictures show it was mostly in the waist high range with the odd chest-ish wave face in the mix. Tide was high (1.5 m) at 0635 and is now dropping to the 0.49 m low at 1235.
That wind should gradually come around to NE this afternoon, so the plan is to hit it this morning.
Swell is going to fade steadily into the marginal – but not flat – zone across the front half of the week. Overnight Weds into Thursday the models show a fresh south pulse starting to fill in as the wind kicks up from the S-SW. By next Saturday we could be looking at some pretty big stuff (3-5 m) but with heaps of wind and showery weather…
So get out there and enjoy your Sunday!
