"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Stormy Friday morning

Hello Friends,

The Bureau’s posted gale warnings for the Sydney coast through Saturday. Wind across the region was S-SW at 20-40 kts on gusts as of 0750. MHL’s Sydney buoy was showing 4.6 metres of 11.5 sec SSW swell out at sea – so the main force is pushing away from the coast right now.
As you can see from the pics, it was pretty rough and rugged looking at Dee Why. But there were a few people in the water. I’ll be heading out on a Manly run shortly, so will try to gather a few more shots of conditions to share later this morning.
The Goat’s outlook went up last night per usual (what an absolute legend!) so I’ll refer you to his thoughts on the outlook for the coming week!
Have a great Friday and check back for more piccies later!

Rough conditions but a few takers at 0730

Rugged at No Mans too

Weather Situation

A complex low pressure system in the Tasman Sea is slowly moving east, while a high pressure centre near Tasmania weakens and extends a ridge over western NSW. These two systems combine to generate vigorous southerly winds and large waves. Conditions are expected to ease during Sunday as the low moves further east and a high pressure ridge strengthens in the western Tasman Sea.
