Very quiet on the surf front

Hello Friends,

This morning’s picture tells the story. Even with four on the oars, it was a struggle to get into the tiny waves at Dee Why beach this morning. Not too surprising when you consider the swell was only a metre at 7 seconds from the south as of 0700.
Skies were bright thanks to high clouds and wind was out of the WSW at 10-15 kts. Beachwatch reported a ocean temperature of 16C with water quality being good along the Northern Beaches (apart from Queenscliff where pollution is rated as possible).
High tide was at 0745 and we’ll be back to low at 1335. It should be sunny and breezy from the SW with a high of 21.
There’s not much prospect of an improvement to the surf prospects today, but from the models, it looks like maybe there’s a little improvement coming our way tomorrow morning. I’d say maybe knee to waist if we’re lucky (as opposed to the current ankle to knee)
Have a top old Sunday everyone!

Even a surfboats had trouble getting into waves this morning

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over central Australia is extending a ridge over New South Wales in the wake of a trough which delivered a southerly change to the coast. This high will drift slowly east during the next few days, to be over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday, bringing a gradual shift to northerly winds. The next trough and southerly change looks set to affect the southern half of the coast mid-week, before stalling.
