Hello Friends,
Your correspondent has fetched up in our nation’s capital to join in some Citizen lobbying, so I’m utterly reliant on remote sensing data for news of the beach today in Sydney. Looking at the WRL pic from earlier this morning, it’s obvious there’s nothing going on at east to NE spots. And the North Bondi RSL cam shows nothing coming from the south.
The MHL buoy is showing 1.8 metres of 160 degree swell at 11 seconds… so, maybe it’s not hooking into nth Bondi and going past south Narra altogether… and there are in fact waist high waves at south magnets… could be…
Wind is now SE 5-7 kts, but the Bureau’s call (see below) is for it to be NE this afternoon.
Outlook is for not much to happen on the surf front for the rest of the week. That’s in line with modelling over the last few days, so I’m thinking ankle to knee high with the odd bomb in the waist high range at magnets in the next 48 hours, fading to less than that as we get up to the weekend. Of course I hope to be proven spectacularly wrong as I’m really keen to get wet again soon!
Go well with your Monday!
