Good morning to have slept in

Hello Friends,

Checking the weather radar at first light, it appeared that most of the shower activity along the coast was heading inland and fading away. Skies were uniformly cloudy though and the wind was coming from the SE at 12-19 kts. The MHL buoy was showing 2.3 metres at 7 seconds from the SE and tide was dropping to the low at 1125. Yesterday Beachwatch had warned of algal blooms and poor water quality at all Sydney beaches. So, it was a good morning to roll over and get a few more Z’s.

The Goat’s call Thursday evening is thus far proving to be right on the money – sadly. And reviewing the swell models this morning shows no real bright spots for the coming week. It’s looking like more marginal to near flat gutlessness.

Ah well, at least we’re another day closer to the next fun surf day…

Have a good Saturday everyone.

No nothing at Northy

Cloudy day and too small to surf at Narrabeen

Weather Situation

A coastal trough is combining with a high pressure system to the south of the continent to bring northeast to southeasterly winds to the New South Wales coastal waters. An embedded low pressure system may develop over the northern waters within this coastal trough and slowly move further south during the weekend and on Monday. As this occurs, southerly winds are forecast to increase, particularly for the southern half of the coast on Monday.
