The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 10 October 2019:
Seven day outlook for Sydney:
Well today was very large and out of control with fierce Southerly wind pushing along at places open to the South. Tthe ocean was pretty much unpopulated except for a couple of thrill seekers who like wind, cool water and large uncrowded waves that were quite sketchy. Most people sensibly choose less exposed activities.
The weekend’s outlook is for the surf to get bigger and turn more SE. Lighter winds forecast might make the waves more attractive looking but will be strictly for the experienced at the large wave locations. If that’s not you, then stay outta the water. Know your own limitations.
Friday: easing back from today to around 2ish, 2+ metres South East , with sets
Saturday: looking like it could be around 3-4 metres, plus, South East, with sets
Sunday: around 2-3 metres South East with sets
Monday: easing back to around 2ish metres, 1-2 metres, with sets
Tuesday: down to around 1 metre or so East South East
Wednesday: dittoish
Thursday:: around 1 metre East
Me, I’m over this cold wind, cold water October weather, thanks. Bring on Summer.
