Hey, where’d the waves go?

Hello Friends,
1.4 metres at 9 seconds from 175° means no waves at Dee Why as of 0830 this morning. However, the Bureau says that the southerly swell should come up into the 2-3 metre range from the south. FWIW, there’s no sign of it on the buoys off to the south of us, so I guess we’ll see. There’s also a strong wind warning for W-WSW ahead of a SE change after lunch. As of 0830 it was west 11-17 kts at North Head. Tide was high at 0745 and will be back to low a little before 1400. Ocean temp’s on 19C according to Beachwatch, and today’s high should be 25 along the coast.
Outlook is for today’s south bump to fade out tomorrow and then for another similar size pulse to turn up mid-week, but at this stage the models aren’t showing anything really interesting. Another week of scratching around for ankle to knee through to maybe waist to chest at standouts tomorrow am and again Wednesday.
Have a good one!

Very quiet at Dee Why on a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning about 0820

Weather Situation
Winds will remain predominantly south to southwesterly for the remainder of the weekend, then weaken before turning northerly and strengthen again early next week as a high pressure system over the Bight crosses New South Wales and moves into the Tasman Sea. Then the next cold front looks set to cross the New South Wales coastal waters between Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing a strong southerly wind change.
