The Goat’s Christmas Surf Forecast and Message
Surf forecast issued Friday 20 December 2019: Seven day outlook for Sydney:
Hey hey only five more sleeps to Christmas Day.
Which is one reason the forecast is a day late… Santa needs his little/ big helpers.. The other is, I’ve been having Fun!!
First then the surf outlook…
Some more chopping and changing winds ahead, to 1 make the surf choppy and changeable, and slow down the momentum of much swell building, and b just be helpful enough to blow the same smoke and a bit more back and forth…although hopefully there could be some periods in the coming week when there are exceptions to both. So we’ve got good news and bad news. Are you with me so far??
Then TG’s advice is to focus on the good news.
Good news is there should be some waves from time to time, the air should be clear from time to time and the Bureau says we might even get a few drops of rain if we’re lucky,
Saturday: around 1 ish metres South East, then coming up at dead South spotz (new word for 2020), with a Southerly change much later
Sunday: somewhere around 2, 2+ metres at those dead South spotz, only, then down somewhat later
Monday:around 1-1+ metres South East
Tuesday: around 1ish metres, sort of Eastish
Wednesday (Chrissy Day): dittoish sort of, maybe a little bigger for you to try out all the new toys
Thursday (Boxing Day): coming up at dead South spotz (what? you’re sick of TG’s Experimental English already.. too bad) say 2 – 2+ metres South… with onshorew ind currently forecast might be a good day for you to kick back and watch the start of the Sydney Hobart on TV… unless you’re in it
Friday: similar.
Now you know how Santa Know’s who’s been naughty and nice… well this summer there have been more than a few people who’ve been beyond naughty to outright criminal. Yesterday, a total fire ban day I saw a dill driving and flicking his ash out his car window.. I couldn’t get close enough to give him some advice in my native Australian English tongue, but hopefully someone else reported him.
TG’s Nice Award goes to the four local teenage kids who asked me (in my surf patrol uniform) could they hand in to me , a mobile phone they found in the carpark with the guy’s drivers licence and credit cards in it. (he was happily reunited with it later) I hope they get everything they want for Christmas!
Have fun..Stay safe… Have a very Happy Christmas!!
