Still big and wild on Friday morning

Hello Friends,
10-15 kts of WSW at North Head as of 0900 this morning. As you can see from the snaps, the ocean is still heaving and crazy looking at Dee Why. There were a few extremely keen types battling the sneaker sets for that elusive clean section, but it looked like a lot of work to me. Swell was 3.3 metres and around 9 seconds from the SE. So, shorter period than yesterday but more east to push it into the protected corners. Again these conditions are only for the fit and experienced. If you’re a beginner, go watch, but wait another day or two.

Take care, maintain your distance, wash those hands and go well with your Friday.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system is centred over the central Tasman Sea. This system has generated vigorous winds and powerful waves along parts of the New South Wales coast. These conditions will gradually ease over the coming days as the low moves away towards New Zealand and a high pressure ridge moves over the state from the west.
