Surfable Sunday

Hello Friends,
Perfect Sunday morning for a lazy little surf at Dee Why under blue skies and light winds. It looked to be a wait between sets, particularly along the beach. Set wave faces appeared to be into the chest plus range. The waverider data says we had 1.4 metres of 9-10 sec of swell from the south and the east. Tide hit high at 0730 and is currently dropping the low at 1255. We should see a high of 19 today and the wind should stay out of the westerly quarters until then. Water temp is 17C.
Outlook is for swell to weaken a little today and tomorrow will probably a bit smaller but right now it appears that we could have a week of small to small and a bit surf (ie not going flat). The latest Wavewatch projection is showing another south pulse from around Thursday… so, that’s nice.
Go well, maintain distance, wash your hands, mask when you go to the shops; the virus hasn’t gone away (17 new cases in NSW as of 31 July).
