"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Sunny start, gales inbound

Hello Friends,

A light, cool northerly under clear blue skies as Friday got started along the beaches. As the picture shows, it was still flat at Dee Why point and there was only the tiniest of tiny lines coming in up the beach. The Bureau tells us to expect a strong westerly change of 20-30 kts later in the day as the cloud arrives. Swell at sea was about a metre from the south at about 10 seconds apart but you’ll do well to find anything above the knee high mark.
So, when will we see an improvement?
You’re in luck because the one and the only, the mighty Goat has scanned the entrails and pronounced upon our prospects.

Go well with your Friday and keep the mask handy.

Maybe a day to take the kayak for a spin

Weather Situation
Winds will tend northerly and increase today ahead of a vigorous cold front, which looks set to bring a strong to gale-force west to southwesterly change Friday afternoon and evening. A south to southwesterly flow is then expected to persist throughout the weekend as the front moves away to the east and a high extends a ridge from the west.
