The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 1 October 2020: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Hey hey looks like a long weekend coming up that will actually feel like a nice start to Summer, But… there’s always Buts… Sigh you say.. TG say C’est la vie, and he knows how to butt heads with the best of ’em.

First But… you might want to take advantage of the nice weekend weather, because it’ll change again after that..

Second But… you may feel like you want to dive in the ocean on one of the warm days, but if you haven’t been in before this and you don’t want an ice cream headache/heart attack etc because of the difference between the air and water temps, you might want to hold off a bit longer yet.

Heey you’ve all been so patient this year, you know how to handle it…

In fact TG has decided to name 2020 The Year of everyone being patient… (better than being the year of being a patient!).. or, The Year of Patience for short… and you know that patience is a virtue… (too much??)

Third But…the surf is also heading into a Summer surf situation, with Nor East winds predominating (that’s a big word) on some days

Fourth But.. you’ll have a good time anyway 🙂

Surf outlook

Friday: going down from today through the 1-2 metre range at dead South spots

Saturday: around 1 metre or less North East at first then increasing in size with the wind behind it during the day

Sunday: around 1 metre or less North East at first, then around 1 ish or so metres East North East

Monday: around 1 ish metres East North East

Tuesday: around 1 ish metres Eastish direction

Wednesday: coming up in the 1-2 metre range East (But, of course, with onshore wind)

Thursday: ditto with the surf, maybe up a bit later.

Have a good one. Stay safe and Enjoy yourself in and out of the water, and don’t get a surprise when you look at the time on Monday morning if you went to bed late.

TG 🙂
