Ankle to knee at standouts

Hello Friends,

Another corker of a day. Light breeze early and sunny skies but, sadly, only ankle to knee high with just the very occasional waist high set at the best exposures. Swell at sea is a shade under a metre at 9 seconds from the east. Definitely a morning for the small wave options in your quiver. We should see a high of 27 along the beaches and the wind will pick up from the northerly quarters ahead of a late south change tonight. Tide was high at 0615 and will bottom out at 1155. So, dropping tide, increasing side-onshore, if you’re going, you better go now.
The hope of an improvement to the marginal conditions later this week now appears to have faded. It may be a tiny bit bigger as we get to Thursday and Friday, but I’m only slightly optimistic.

Weather Situation
A weakening high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea, while a trough of low pressure associated with a cold front to the south is forecast to bring a southerly change to the southern and central coast today. Following this a new high is expected to strengthen over the southern Tasman Sea on Wednesday and Thursday, extending a ridge to the northern New South Wales coast.
