South magnets only

Hello Friends,

Not much to excite this morning. There are still weak little things coming in from the south at the magnet spots, but it was already choppy before 0700. Tide was low at 0540 and will be back to high at 1215, by which time the wind should be around to the NE and going pretty hard. Out at sea as of 0640 there was 1.8 metres of 12 second dead south swell and a fair amount of 6 second chop in on top of it. For Dee Why that meant the occasional chest plus set, but as the pictures show, it was not great looking. Water should be clean and temp is a springy-friendly 21C.

Weather-wise it’s set to be a partly cloudy day with a high chance of showers late this afternoon. Should reach a high of 27C.

Outlook is for the long period south swell to fade out this morning and then it seems we’re in for 3 days of small, short period NE wind bump before we may see another short-period south pulse around Wednesday with light winds for the early.

Have a top old Saturday, and don’t fret if you can’t get to the beach. You’re not missing anything!

Longy good for a beach walk
Kiddies as big as anywhere, but already junky before 0700
Gutless dribble south Narrabeen
A couple of hopefuls at Northy – for no obvious reason.
