Little waves around on Sunday morning

Hello Friends,
A mild, partly cloudy and lightly onshore from the SE start to Sunday morning. There are a few waves at spots with south exposure. Tide was a swampy 1.89 m high at 0745, and swell was 1.8 metres at 7-8 seconds from the south, so we’re talking waist to maybe chest and a bit on the biggest ones, but pretty gutless and floppy too. Take your small, weak wave board and you might get something before the wind swings east and gets going. The Bureau says swell should come up from the east later. Outlook is for it to build overnight and the Bureau says we can expect 3 metres east by tomorrow at lunch time – with 15-20 kts of east wind in on top of it. Swell continues to ramp and Wednesday The Bureau is calling for solid 3-4 metre NE energy but with rain and stiff east wind.
Wednesday morning is currently looking pretty interesting with (potentially) light offshores and 1.5-2.5 metre 10-sec east energy for the morning session. And the long range models are currently looking intriguing for Christmas week…
Go well everyone!

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge northwards. This high will gradually drift east over the coming days, directing generally east to southeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. Winds and waves are increasing along the northern half of the coast from today, as a trough deepens and forms a low pressure system near the southern Queensland coast. This system is expected to move onshore early on Monday, before drifting south and weakening on Tuesday.
