Weak sauce but not flat

Hello Friends,

More cloudy, gloomy weather for Sunday morning with 13-18 kts of south wind texturing exposed stretches. Waves were in the waist to chest plus range at the magnets and while there were definitely moments of juice, the overall impression was of a generally slow and gutless wind swell. I’d give it 2 out of 5. Out at sea the buoys were seeing 1.75 metres of five second east wind bump – which accounts for the weak look to the waves. Apart from lagoon entrances, water quality is rated as pollution unlikely by Beachwatch. First tide of the day is a swampy 1.9 metres at 1100. Ocean temp is 23C and we’re expecting a 25C high along the beaches.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is slowly drifting east while a low pressure system southwest of Tasmania extends a trough of low pressure across the state resulting in east to northeasterly winds over the central and northern coastal waters. The trough will become sloe moving about central parts of the coast during the day today, bringing a southerly wind change in its wake.
