The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 11 February 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Today, whether you had wind (that’s wind in your face… not wind from your face)or not, and whether you had waves (that’s waves on the ocean… not waves from pretty girls or boys) or not, depended on where you were.

Wind was predominantly from the North East, and waves were predominantly from the South East/ East South East.

So it was either windy or not at some places, and there were waves or not at some places.  It was fortuitous if you got the right combination of those, for starters.

Tha’s unsurprising info to some people, but you’d be surpised, how groundbreakingly informative it is for others…

If nothing else, TG is here to inform the uninformed (that’s not, you know, uniformed… Unless they are uninformed).

Ideally what you want is somewhere with waves, but not a lot of wind.

So for the coming weekend and week ahead’s surfing pleasures… in a variety of anticipated changeable conditions…

Faites attention! to wave and wind directions

Surf outlook

Friday: may be a little bigger than Thursday arvo, say in the upper end of the 1-1 metre range East South East (you can check the wind direction below.. you don’t expect me to do everything for you, do you?

Saturday: ditto South East, then turning more dead South with the windy wind

Sunday: ditto dead South

Monday: ditto South East, or maybe more South with the windy wind

Tuesday: ditto East South East

Wednesday: ditto East South East

Thursday: maybe around 2 – 2+ metres East South East or due South with the windy wind behind it.

No there will be a test to see how much you know already or learnt.

But don’t worry.  It will be self assessment.

You can decide for yourself if you got good waves or not.

The main thing is: Have Fun! And Stay Safe. (that’s two things. You can correct it if you’re like that)

TG. 🙂
