Knee high Monday morning

Hello Friends,

Cloud was lurking off to the north and south, but the beaches were sunny and the wind was light NW. Unfortunately the wave situation was looking uninspiring. There were long waits for (maybe) knee high sets at Dee Why. Tide was coming into the 1.89 high at 1040. Swell at sea was 0.8 m and coming from 118° at 10 seconds apart.
We’re heading to a 33C high ahead of a cool gusty south change this evening and Beachwatch reports water is sitting on 23C.
Outlook is for a couple of day of southerly conditions with 2+ metres of south swell. There might be a possibility for a somewhat breezy Wednesday morning session and something smaller but smoother on Thursday. Prospects for the weekend currently seem to be more hopeful – particularly Sunday morning, when the wind call is light and swell could be out of the south in the waist to chest high range at magnets.
Have a great Monday!

Weather Situation
A vigorous southerly change associated with a deepening low pressure system over the Tasman Sea will affect the southern half of the coast today, continuing to the northern border on Tuesday. A high south of the Bight is forecast to extend a ridge along the coast in the wake of the southerly change, and looks set to remain the dominant feature in the region through much of the coming week.
