Little but not flat everywhere

Hello Friends,

More smoke haze from burning off expected in Sydney this morning. The waves have clicked down another notch too. It’s a metre at 12 seconds from 159°(SSE). Wind was light WNW early, ocean is 21C and first tide of the day is a 1.7 m high at 0900. It’ll be back to low 0.4 m at 1500.
The long period component is delivering occasional chest plus sets at the better exposures, but the swampy high tide was limiting options and resulting in reflection waves at steep beaches like Curly. When the waves came they were mostly shutting down, but there were definitely some fun sections for the patient – and the lucky.

Outlook is for the waves to decay away to just about flat everywhere and for it to stay that way until the next week.
