The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 29 April 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Weather’s been nice. Water temp is still OK for swimming, and rashie and boardshorts. Despite the smallness there have been waves at some places… courtesy of a decent swell period pushing in the occasional bigger-than-the-other waves, and mostly light winds.

Banks have also been an important factor – not the money ones – in combination with the tides, where a rideable wave at particular times became a shallow tiresome close out once past its optimum potential.

The outlook is for continuing light winds according to the Bureau, and it looks like the swell will continue to be mostly small.

So who knows.. there could still be waves for the energetic young and fit opportunists.

The rest of us will just have to smile indulgently or ruefully and make our own arrangements.

Friday: about 1 metre or so East South East

Saturday: ditto but getting smaller East

Sunday: about 1 metre or so East North East

Monday: about 1 metre or so North East

Tuesday: small then about 1 metre East

Wednesday: dittoish East, with winds turning south during the day according to the BoM, to chop it up

Thursday: coming up into the 1-2 metre range East South East.

Have fun.
