Wild and Woolly Thursday

Hello Friends,
Apart from the Bower and south Steyne, I didn’t see anyone in the water from Manly to Dee Why. And for good reason. Both those places were surprisingly weak looking and unimpressive at this stage of the swell, plus the water looked pretty ordinary (beach watch is warning pollution possible). Everywhere else was blown to pieces by the 30-35kt SSE wind. If the wind comes around to the SW tomorrow, it will be a very different story as by then the swell should be pretty solid. Be very interesting to see what the Goat’s forecast looks like this evening.
Stay safe and go well!

Weather Situation

A low pressure system has developed within a deep coastal trough off the northern New South Wales coastline. The low, together with a high in the Great Australia Bight, will work together to push fresh to strong east to southeasterly winds along the coast today, and an increasing easterly swell for the coming days. Conditions are expected to ease on Friday and Saturday as the low weakens and slips south.
