More surf for Sydney

Hello Friends,

After a slight lull yesterday (but there were waves if you looked), we’re back to an abundance of surf options for Thursday. At 0800 wind was west at 6-8 kts (it’s set to pick up later) and swell at sea was coming from 102° at 1.8 m with a period of 9 seconds. Surf, as the pictures show, is in the chest to shoulder high range on the sets at Dee Why.  Tide hits a moderate 1.4 m high at 0915 and will be back to low at 1450. Weather should be mild and mostly sunny. Water’s mostly good apart from south Steyne, the Bower and Queensie where it may be suss. Temperature is holding at 21C.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Less consistent at the point but the bombs look interesting 0800

Lots of activity

Weather Situation
A slow-moving trough lies off the coast of New South Wales while a high pressure system near New Zealand moves east. The trough will move east today ahead of the next cold front which is expected to clip the south coast late today and establish fresh southwesterly flow across most coastal waters on Friday. A strong cold front is expected to cross southeast New South Wales, bringing strong to gale force southwesterly winds across the central and southern parts of the coast on Saturday.
