Waves for Thursday morning

Hello Friends,

Another sunny autumnal morning with clean little waves along the Northern Beaches. Swell at 0730 was 1.2 metres and coming from 163° at 13-14 seconds, so it was mostly going past the point and hitting up the beach. It’s expected to get smaller as the day goes along, but there should be a wave for the keen and water is still 20C. Tide is low at 0900 and will be back to a moderate 1.3 m high at 1510.

The Goat will be along later today with thoughts on the surf outlook, so be sure to check back. I’m always keen to see what the wise one has to say, especially when you have some variation in the models as we do for next week’s outlook.

Go well – and get that jab (I booked mine for next week via these folks)

Weather Situation

A high pressure system drifting out over the Tasman Sea is directing light to moderate winds across most New South Wales waters. A passing cold front will bring a fresh southerly change to most coastal area during the course of today, easing at the end of the week as a new high becomes established in the region. A stronger cold front looks set to arrive mid next week.
