Small surf options for the keen

Hello Friends,

Grey skies and the occasional shower on the cards for today. Waves have faded back into the knee to waist plus range at Dee Why and the point has basically switched off apart from the very rare set.

As of 0830 wind was north at 6-9 kts and swell was a touch under a metre from the SSE at 13 seconds. Ocean temp is still on 19C. Next tide is 1.36 m at 1120. There’s a good chance of the odd shower this afternoon as we head to a high of 17C.

Outlook is for waves to stay small and to gradually get smaller tomorrow as we head to flat conditions by Saturday. There is some hope for an uptick into the waist to chest plus range at south magnets from Sunday though – according to the GFS model.

Look after yourselves everybody. Get the jab as soon as you possibly can and wear the mask when you’re around others. According to coronacast, the latest data points toward exponential growth in infections because the average infected person is spreading the virus to 1.8 others. This lockdown looks currently looks likely to be with us for a few weeks yet.
