Very tiny but not utterly flat at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Only a few hopefuls in the water at 0830 on another sunny and chilly morning at Dee Why. Waves looked to be in the knee to waist high range on the occasional sets. Wind was coming from the west at 7-10 kts. Swell at sea was 1.4 m at 8 seconds from 182°. First tide of the day is the low at 0920. It’ll be back to high at 1600. Sea temp is 18-19C as we head to a high along the beaches of 16C.

This morning’s swell models continue to show it staying tiny through tomorrow but on Wednesday it looks as though the weather will turn cloudy as a solid, dead south pulse hits. Wind’s currently expected to be 20-30 kts from the SW, so it could be big and blowy. It then looks as though the wind should drop off, swing more to the west as the swell drops back to a couple of metres from the south on a sunny Thursday.

Stay safe everyone and keep the mask on when you’re around others – even if you’ve had the jab.
