"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

More flat than not

Hello Friends,

It looked to be ankle to maybe knee high at Dee Why as Tuesday got off to a bright, chilly and sunny start. Not that it matters much, but the wind was coming lightly from the WNW at 8-10 kts. Out at sea the waverider buoys were seeing 1.1 metres of swell from  149° at 8 seconds apart.

We should see a high of 17C today as the weather goes from sunny to cloudy this afternoon. Tomorrow is set to be showery, windy and cooler. Swell is expected to jump up into the 3 metre range by Wednesday afternoon, but all the models showing it fading back to half that size by Thursday morning. And thereafter it looks like returning to small to tiny by Friday morning.

Go well everyone and take your masks if you’re going out.

A high over central Australia is extending a ridge across the north, directing westerly winds across New South Wales waters today.
