The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 21 October 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:
Isn’t it nice when the Bureau says there’s a high chance of rain and you have beautiful blue skies all day.
Or there’s a southerly change forecast, but it doesn’t arrive till later than expected.
I think that’s very good of the BoM to give us all pleasant surprises. Top marks fellas 🙂
On the surf front, TG recalls saying last week to grab it if/when you could, or words to that effect. So he was happy to hear a few happy tales, like ‘I had a really nice/fun wave…here/there… today/ yesterday… at high/low tide’. Good for them.
While several others, less than pleased at the current state of play where they were, said ‘the surf was cra..’ (not very good), ‘a waste of time’ etc
It all depends on if things line up, and the banks, which are pretty ordinary at a lot of places and are only useful at certain tides
So again, looking at the outlook for the week ahead, grab it if and when you can.
Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South East, with the occasional set at some places
Saturday: easing back slightly East South East
Sunday: similar to begin with, and then starting to come up from the South later, with windy wind pushing it along, 1-2, 2+ metres dead South spots
Monday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South
Tuesday: pushing up from the south from a Low down that way, moving away, could be 2-3, 3+ metres dead South, maybe even getting into some corners
Wednesday: 2ish, 2-2+ metres South
Thursday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South East.
Grab the opportunities in the surf and elsewhere, when/while you can, and stay safe.
