Southerly slop for the keen

Hello Friends,

There are waves this morning at Dee Why, but as the picture shows, conditions are scrappy. The southerly came through last night and as of 0900 this morning it was SSW 9-16 kts. Swell at sea was dead south and  2 metres at 7 seconds apart. So, generally weak, junky, but reasonably consistent. Tide hits high at 1105 and weather should be partly cloudy and 21C. Ocean temperature is 20C.

The wind set to stay southerly all day, but from tomorrow the Bureau and the swell models tell us that swell should ramp into the interesting range (2+ metres at 11 seconds from the ESE), while the morning wind should also play nice. Tuesday sees it dropping back but still fun looking in prospect.

Have a good Sunday and take the mask with you!

Weather Situation

A trough is bringing fresh to strong southerly change to central and northern parts of the coast today, before weakening in the afternoon. A low is expected to develop to the east of Tasmania and will maintain a southwest to southeasterly airstream along much of the coast on Monday and Tuesday.
