"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Big early on Tuesday

Hello Friends,

Large and powerful surf conditions this morning. Swell at sea was dead south and 3.7 metres at 10-11 seconds. As the pictures show, this meant solid 1.5-2x overhead bomb sets were hitting just before 0800. There were a fair number of people in the water on what is obviously a day for the experienced and fit riders only. The ocean was textured by a light WNW breeze but it should drift around to the SW and then be E-SE by the middle part of the day. Tide was low at 0550 and will be back to a 1.57m high at 1225. Weather is set to be mostly sunny, with a high of 22C and Beachwatch is reporting sea temps of 20C.

Outlook is for the swell to be big across the day, but the pulse should peak this morning and then steadily subside back into the waist to chest high range by this time tomorrow.

Know your limits folks. The open stretches and places like Dee Why are off limits for beginners, particularly this morning.

Go well!
