As expected, we’re still waiting for the waves to come back. This morning saw light NE wind and a 1.5 m of 9-sec SE swell. There were a couple of people in the water at Dee Why, but I didn’t see them catch anything.
The swell models aren’t looking much different from yesterday, which is to say, it still seems we’re in for the current conditions through Thursday and then on Friday we have strong southerlies on the cards. Swell may ramp into the 4+ metre range, so very protected corners might see surfable conditions. But the weather looks set to be cloudy and rainy too…

Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea will continue drifting slowly southeast towards New Zealand, while maintaining a ridge along the NSW coast. The ridge along the coast will decline late today or through Tuesday as an area of low pressure moves east wards south of Tasmania, and pushes a trough and southerly change up the coast on Tuesday and Wednesday.
