"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Sunny Friday but basically waveless

Hello Friends,

Leisurely start for your correspondent, hence the heatwavy snap of goings on at Dee Why as of noon. Lots of folks enjoying the sunshine but waves are at a minimum.

As of 1130 wind was out of the ENE at 7-11 kts and out at sea the SSE swell was a metre at 11 seconds. Waves looked to be in the ankle to knee high range at Dee Why beach and too tiny to ride at the point.

Weather should be sunny all day as we head to a high of 29C.

Wondering about the outlook…then jump over to see what the Goat has to say.

The final day of 2021… wow… what a year.

Hope you all stay safe from COVID as it blows up over the next little while. Wear an N95 and try to find a few RAT kits if you possibly can.

Given that we’re being told that responding to the pandemic is all about personal responsibility, I’ve issued an edict for all RAT kits to be free like in the UK. Not sure it’s working though as 36 more people in my postcode had positive PCR tests yesterday. How many had positive RATs, who knows – the government hasn’t shown the slightest interest in counting them. My suspicion is that we’re talking more than 0.

To say I am extremely unimpressed with how govt is handling things, is putting it mildly.

Anyway, no matter what we humans do, the ocean will deliver waves for as long as there’s a planet. So Happy New Year to you!
