Glassy little peaks everywhere

Hello Friends,

Light offshore breeze to open proceedings this Thursday. And, as the pictures show, there were knee to waist-ish waves all over the place. You’ll do a bit of sitting around (so what else is new?) and they’re more soft than not, but you’ll definitely jag yourself a few.

Onshores should come up this morning, starting from the SE and then swing NE but the Bureau says they’ll be in the 10 kt range, so if you don’t mind the texture, it should be surfable all day thanks to a NE-SE combo. The main component is coming at us at 1.5 m and 8 seconds from 73° (ENE). The swell models show the period stretching out into the juicy 10-11 second range by tomorrow. The Friday early looks promising to me, so it’ll be interesting to see what the Goat’s take is later today.

Keep masking folks, there’s virus everywhere as we approach the peak of this wave. And good luck finding RATs. Our local chemist and IGA are still out.

Very soft at Dee Why
Little, inconsistent but rideable at Surfrider Gardens
Busy at Northy
