Hello Friends,
UPDATE. 1443: Partially treated discharge at Warriewood at 14:43 on 12/05/2022 – Sydney water alert
Another missable day thanks to 20-30 kts of NE wind and occasionally heavy showers. Under the chop, the east wind swell is 2 metres out at sea with an 8-second period. We’ll see what the Goat says later today, but looking at the Bureau’s marine forecast, I’m cautiously hopeful about tomorrow for the early in north corners. Unfortunately, Beachwatch says water is suss to likely polluted at pretty much all of Sydney’s beaches south of Newport. Water’s still 23C though.
Have yourself a great Thursday, and take the mask for indoors settings – 2554 people got COVID-19 on the Northern Beaches alone in the last week & 86 more families across the state are in mourning. It’s not over – even if all the politicians have gone quiet about it.
Weather Situation
East to northeasterly winds will strength a little today as a trough over inland New South Wales moves further east and a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea remains stationary. North to northeasterly winds are forecast to persist as the trough weakens on Friday, and then tend northwesterly in the south on the weekend as a front and associated trough approach from the west.
