Lake Pacific conditions continue

Hello Friends,

Another beautiful, sunny but near-flat morning at Dee Why.

As of 0800 the wind was WNW at 5-6 kts and tide was coming into a high of 1.55 m at 0900. Swell at sea was 1.5 metres and coming from the south at a shade under 7 seconds apart. There were people in the water having a bit of a paddle and a go at the ankle to knee high sets.

The tiny conditions look set to continue through Thursday. At that point the weather will be clouding up and the wind will be going to the south. Friday looks like showery, southerly but with 10-ish second dead south swell in the 2 metre range.

Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over South Australia will build over the Great Australian Bight today, before moving very slowly east during the week, reaching Tasmania by Saturday and the Tasman Sea Monday. This system will extend a ridge across most of NSW throughout the week. A cold front and trough are expected to clip the southern waters on Wednesday, producing fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds in the south.
