Hello Friends,
There were twenty people in the water at Dee Why point before 0800 on Wednesday morning. And for obvious reasons. Wind was coming lightly from the west and out at sea the swell was 1.5 metres from 152° at 13 seconds apart. That meant sets into the head plus range were hitting both the point and the beach, but the latter looked to be mostly closing out on the bigger ones.
Tide hits the 0.5 m low at 1045 and will be back to high at 1705. We should see a high of 20 with possible morning showers. Water quality remains in the pollution possible zone from Newport to Manly.
Today looks like the peak in energy levels, but the outlook is for surfable conditions into the weekend at least.
So have yourself a top old Wednesday and keep on smilin’!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system to the east of Tasmania and a trough lying along the coast are generating south to southeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. This trough will weaken today as the high pressure system moves east, with winds then tending east to northeasterly.
