The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Wednesday 3 August 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

TG was behaving weirdly the last few days… “I’ve had enough of this cold weather” he said. Then when I went to tell him today’s a beaut day, he said “I’m packin’ my bags!”

When he did that a week or two back, I said if you’re intent on turning left at the highway it’s gonna get colder down that way.. but he went anyway and said Victoria and South Australia were very nice (not the surf) but it was very cold!

Big surprise.

“So where are you going now” I asked.

He replied with a song…

“I’m goin’ where the sun keeps shinin’…

La la la la la.

Goin’ where the weather suits my clothes…

Banking off of the North East winds…

Sailin’ on a summer breeze…

Skippin’ over the ocean like a stone…

Waa waa waa waa wa wa wa waa waa waa waa wa… waaaaa”

(Apologies to Harry Nilsson..beautiful song. )

Left me none the wiser….Apart from TG’s terrible singing…

He has no clothes!  What’s he need to pack??  Books to eat ??!!

“What do I tell the crew??” I asked

“Tell ’em TG’s gone to Queensland drovin’…

And we don’t know where he are” (Apologies to Banjo)

What about the forecast?

So he did a quick one for you…

Weather is lookin’ OK for the weekend then back to a bit ordinary according to the Bureau’s forecast.

Surf outlook is lookin’ fairly ordinary.. maybe a few little waves for mals first few days, then coming up from the South – dead South spots only – and with S type wind to mess it up.

Thursday: small like today 1 metre or less North East

Friday: ditto

Saturday: smaller

Sunday: similar

Monday: startingto come up only at places that get dead South swell maybe around 1-2, 2, or even 2 + metres dead South/South South West

Tuesday: maybe a little more of it than Monday coming ashore at places that get South East swell

Keep smilin’.

Think of TG smilin’. 🙂

TG.
