Waves for the Weekend Warriors

Hello Friends,

Conditions really came together this morning for the dawn patrol. We were seeing smooth surface conditions thanks to a WNW breeze and a south + east swell combo. Wave faces were in the shoulder to head-and-a-bit high range at the focus points. First tide of the day was the low at 0810, so along with all the other variables, there should be a little tidal push helping across the morning hours as it fills into the high at 1500. The Bureau tells us we should have a sunny morning and a high of 20C. Water’s clean and 19C.

Outlook is for the energy to stick around through the weekend and with luck it’ll keep going – albeit being a bit smaller – right through next week. At least one model is showing another quick south pulse into the 3 metre range for Wednesday morning (with showery weather though).

Get out there if you can and take your cruisy attitude because you’ll definitely be sharing the bounty!

Weather Situation

A fast-moving front will brush the south coast, maintaining a fresh to strong airstream along southern and central parts of the coast today, before a high moves over New South Wales on Sunday. The next significant cold front will affect the coast on Tuesday.
