"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Sunny, glassy and oh so tiny

Hello Friends,

Apart from the weak and tiny waves, it was a perfect morning for a surf along the beaches. At the better exposures, like south Curly where today’s pics come from, bomb set wave faces were approaching the chest high mark. Unfortunately, they few and far between. Mostly it was a case of sitting around and hopefully catching something in the knee to waist high range before it ran out of puff.

As of 0900, swell at sea was 1.4 metres at 9 seconds from the SSE and wind was coming faintly from WSW. First tide of the daylight hours was the low at 0945. Ocean’s on 18 and today’s high is expected to reach 21. Water is clean pretty much everywhere according to Beachwatch.

There’s not much in the way of swell on the cards for tomorrow and the rainy stuff will be back with us for a few days. Thursday could see the swell pulsing up into the interesting range from the NE and Friday could be bigger again. The wind call is for NE though, so we’ll have to see if it backs off enough to tidy up for the early crew.

Have a great day everyone!
