Hello Friends,
A 1.7 m high tide at 0740 was swamping it, but the straight south swell in the 2+ metre range was delivering head and a bit plus faces at semi-protected locations. Open stretches are going to get overwhelmed on bomb sets from the look of it. Needless to say perhaps, but it’s only suitable for fit and experienced riders today.
Still very tiny in the Santa Barbara area (see postcard above), but there is a hint of a line showing and down in Orange County, they’re probably getting nice but very crowded waves. It’s Thanksgiving, so millions have the day off. The freeways are gridlocked and so are the surf spots with anything resembling a wave.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system moving slowly over southeast Australia will remain the dominant feature in the region through to Friday, promoting generally settled weather with light to moderate onshore winds. Winds will shift northerly and increase at the end of the week as the high moves to the Tasman Sea and a trough approaches from the west. This trough is forecast to bring a southerly change to southern parts of the coast during Sunday, extending to the north on Monday.
