The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 12 January 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

TG said “This’ll have to be quick, cause I’ve got to go out.”

Quick!? ..Go out!??

Sigh…No point asking him questions.. You’ll get only nonsense back.

A bit like Qs you might feel you’d like to ask, say the government currently (any of ’em), but you don’t bother because of the likely As you’ll get back…

They don’t call it The Silly Season for nuthin’.

And speaking of Seasons, it looks like we might be in for a run of Summer! weather and surf…

The BoM expects some warm days, and mostly Nor East breezes instead of those annoying Easterlies, which have at least kept the wave motion going.

TG is a simple and lazy goat, so as surf size is likely to be similar most days – not too big not too small – and swell direction may well vary from day to day, or parts of days, he suggested the surf forecast be kept simple too>>

Friday to Wednesday: pretty much in the lower end of the 1-2 metre range. with variable directions – East, East South East North East, dead South and East South East, meaning that the daily size will vary from beach to beach.

Chill out, enjoy the Summer conditions, relax, catch a few waves from time to time, probably around mid tide best, there being a few shallow banks and deepish holes around.

Have Fun!

TG.
