Little waves at south magnets

Hello Friends,

Another sunny day with a chilly start for Saturday, but the south exposures definitely have waves. As the pictures show, sets are into the chest to shoulder high range thanks to the 1.7m, 9-sec dead south swell. Tide is low at 0815 and back to a modest 1.26 m high at 1425. Weather should be sunny with a high of 18, while wind should stay offshore all day.

The swell energy looks like decreasing but not disappearing over the next few days. Plus, the wind’s set to stay offshore and the weather should be nice too. Oh, and though the air’s damn chilly early, the water is still on 20 according to Beachwatch.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Weather Situation
A lies over the Tasman Sea, and is moving away from New South Wales, while a ridge of high pressure lies over the continent. The low is still directing large and powerful, hazardous surf along the northern coast, which will ease tonight. Southerly winds are expected to gradually ease today as the low moves further away to the east, then tend west to southwesterly early next week as a high pressure ridge moves into the region.
