Hello Friends,
20-30 kts of south wind was smashing the open stretches this morning. Out at sea the swell was 3.4 m at 9 seconds from the south as of 0700. It was nothing like that size at the south exposures I checked this morning. Plainly, most of the energy is out at sea. Not really a day that most of us would think of as surfable.
From the look of the Bureau’s forecast we’ll probably have to wait until Sunday morning for the wind to back off.
As for the surf prospects next week… well, good news, the Goat posted his usualĀ week-ahead surf prospects last night, so dig in for the inside scoop.
Go well with your Friday!
Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system currently well south of the Bight is moving east and will be east of Tasmania later today. It will strengthen south to southeasterly winds along the coast, whilst a transient low pressure system developing off the north coast today reinforces southerly winds before heading into the Tasman Sea during the weekend.
Forecast for Friday until midnight
