Surf forecast issued Thursday 8 February 2024: Seven day outlook for Sydney
Messy rubbish today… not worth commenting on.
We’re getting the tops of a series of Highs bringing onshore wind and showers and cool breezes from way out… and the outlook according to the Bureau looks like that will continue for a bit.
Ever the Optimist, TG says:
If you like messy, windblown waves from the South / South East, you’re gonna love the next hmm several days ~~~~
There might be a brief improvement in conditions on Monday if the Bureau’s current wind forecast for NE wind holds..
Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range East South East with messy wind
Saturday: dittoish might come up a bit, with messy wind
Sunday: ditto at dead South spots and still messy wind
Monday: ditto dead South spots, currently with NE wind forecast
Tuesday: ditto dead South and S/SE wind
Wednesday: easing back a little South East with wind
Thursday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range..and..
Never mind… here’s something new to exercise your mind
TG’s Science and Educational Report:
Scientists have found human footprints they say are 90,000 years old on an ancient beach in Morocco …
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-02-02/homo-sapiens-footprints-found-in-morocco/103412878
They’re currently puzzling over what the people might have been doing there…
“The study suggests the group may have been searching for food, cooling off at the beach, or simply travelling through the area, with a beach route being the easiest to navigate.”
TG says it’s obvious…
“They were simply going back and forth to check the surf!”
“Unfortunately for those dudes they didn’t have access to a surf report of surf forecasts, so they had to waste their time and energy trekking back and forth, back and forth to the beach to see if it was pumping.”
“It just shows how far we’ve come” said TG.
(Sigh.. “We” …Every now and again he has to be reminded he’s a Goat!.. Not a Human.)
Keep smiling.
