Hello Friends,
Friday kicked off with mostly clear skies, 8-10 kts of W-WNW wind and a 1.4 metre, 12-second south swell showing at the offshore buoys. As the pictures indicate, this was producing waves in the knee to waist-plus range at Dee Why. As usual, the sets were smaller and the waves less frequent at the point, and a touch bigger and more consistent along the beach. It was a mellow looking morning, suitable for all surfing skill levels. Water’s clean and 20 – which also happens to be the forecast high for today.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Goat thinks when he rolls out his latest surf forecast, but my quick glance at the charts makes me think we’ve got several more days of the current surf conditions – at least.

A high pressure ridge over the coastal waters is weakening today as a cold front passes to the south. Behind this a new high is forecast to strengthen south of Tasmania and extend a new ridge over the coast during the weekend.
