Hello Friends,
We had head-high set waves at Dee Why as Friday kicked off. Wind was 6-9 kts from the west under partly cloudy skies and the SSE swell was 2.8 metres out at sea with a typical period of around 10 seconds.
The Bureau tells us that the wind will go south to SE soon, so you want to hit it asap. And there’s an 80% chance of showers too.
As for the outlook, may I refer you to the ever-reliable Goat’s latest predictions for the coming surf week.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight is extending a ridge over NSW, bringing fresh southeasterly to southwesterly winds. The high is forecast to move east over the Tasman Sea during today and on Saturday, with winds tending light and variable along the south coast and fresh southeasterly elsewhere. Then winds are forecast to tend northerly along the south coast Sunday and remain southeasterly elsewhere as the high moves east, before the next southerly change makes its way up the coast early next week.
