Hello Friends,
Swell’s set to fade across the day, but as of 0800 there were shoulder high sets up the beach toward No Mans. Lots of folks in the water from there south to the point. Speaking of which, it looked to be smaller and less consistent than the beachy. Wind was lightly offshore from the WNW when I grabbed the shots, but it should gradually come around to the NE as the day warms up to a toasty 29. Should be sunny all day.
Tide is dropping to a 0.6m low at 1125 and as of 0500 the swell was 1.4 metres from the east at 11 seconds.
It looks as though the wave energy levels will fade back over the next 48 hours before starting to slow build up into the 2 metre, 10+ sec range from the east. Wind looks like being an annoyance all week, but the onshore conditions should be lighter in the mornings. So, not an exciting outlook, but not dire either.
Keep on smilin’ and have yourself a great day!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea with a ridge to the north is directing southeast to northeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. The high is moving east very slowly and weakening and a low pressure trough will bring a southerly change along the southern half of the coast during Sunday night and early Monday morning.
