Waiting for it to get light enough to take some pics. So in the meantime, a status update for you early risers.
Swell has faded sharply overnight, dropping from an average of 2 metres at 12 seconds yesterday to around a metre at 10 seconds now. There are still some 13 sec sets left in the mix though, so with luck there should be a wave or two to be had (at a similar size to what we had Sunday morning).
Okay, I’m off to see what I can spot. Pics up as soon as I am able…
Low tide was at 0530 and high is at 1255.
Sydney Coastal Waters, Broken Bay to Port Hacking and 60nm seawards:
Tuesday until midnight: Wind: W/NW 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots offshore at times. NW 5/10 knots inshore early. Sea: 1.5 to 2 metres, reaching 2 to 2.5 metres offshore at times.Swell: E/SE 1.5 to 2 metres.
Wednesday: Wind: W/SW 10/15 knots, turning S/SW during the day.Sea: about 1 metre. Swell: E/SE about 1 metre.
Thursday: Wind: S/SW 10/20 knots, increasing to 20/30 knots.
